General Safety

Your safety is our top priority. Please follow these guidelines to ensure a safe and beneficial practice.

Before You Begin

  • Consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program
  • Inform your instructor of any injuries, health conditions, or pregnancy
  • Practice on a non-slip surface with adequate space around you
  • Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows free movement

During Practice

  • Never force your body into any position that causes pain
  • Listen to your body and rest when needed
  • Stay hydrated before, during, and after practice
  • Breathe steadily throughout all exercises
  • Move slowly and mindfully between poses

Special Considerations

  • Pregnancy: Consult your doctor and avoid poses that compress the abdomen or involve lying on your back after the first trimester
  • High blood pressure: Avoid inversions and breath retention
  • Back problems: Avoid deep forward bends and twists without proper guidance
  • Recent surgery: Wait for medical clearance before resuming practice

When to Stop

Stop practicing immediately if you experience:

  • Sharp or sudden pain
  • Dizziness or lightheadedness
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Chest pain or pressure
