Many of us hold tension in our shoulders, often caused by the gradual build-up of stress in our daily lives. If this stress is left unchecked, it accumulates and contributes to stiffness and discomfort. Whether you want to prevent or mend shoulder discomfort, taking time to relax and release tension is an important first step to improving your shoulder health.
Practice Guidelines
Before starting your yoga asana practice, please read the Practice Guidelines for helpful tips.
Enhance your relaxation
Release chronic tension with a daily gentle massage. Using a few drops of our Lavender + Jojoba Oil Blend, massage your temples, back of neck, shoulders, and wrists.
Tight muscles in the upper arms and chest can pull your shoulders forward. With the help of these techniques, experience greater comfort and range of motion in your shoulders by stretching your arms and chest, helping bring your shoulders back into alignment.
Yoga props
Use our mini yoga ball and yoga block for Good Posture: Lower Back & Pelvis.
Reduce pain and inflammation
Before bathing, gently brush your whole body with our Detoxify Skin Brush, including your shoulders. After bathing, apply our Detoxify Massage Oil to your shoulders, and to the key areas for clearing lymph, including behind the ears, sides of the neck, collarbones, underarms, and behind the knees.
It’s now time to build strength in the supporting shoulder muscles to help maintain proper shoulder alignment. These multi-day courses help you build the necessary strength to keep your shoulders healthy and stable.
Practice Tip
We suggest starting with Strong & Flexible Neck & Shoulders, then continuing with the courses in the order provided for 25 days of consistent practice.
